Known as the “Father of Indian Engineering”.
Served as the 19th Diwan of Mysore from 1912 to 1918.
Received India’s highest civilian honor, the Bharat Ratna, in 1955.

Major Achievements-
Krishna Raja Sagara Dam: Acted as the chief engineer for this famous dam in Karnataka.
Flood Protection: Designed the flood defense system for Hyderabad.
Block System: Invented automatic water floodgates to stop dam overflow.Economic Vision: Wrote books on planning and helped build modern Mysore.
