न्यूज पोर्टल की स्थापना भारतीय संस्कृति के मूल्यों का बनाये रखने के क्रम में की गई है। आधुनिकता की दौड़ में हमने जन्म को तो महत्व दिया है लेकिन मृत्यु को नहीं। इंसान जन्म लेने के उपरांत अनेक वर्षों, अर्द्ध शताब्दी और कई तो शताब्दि तक जीवित रहते हैं। इस जीवन यात्रा में वह परिवार, समाज और देश के निर्माण के साथ ही संस्कृति के भी वाहक होते हैं लेकिन मृत्यु उपरांत अंतिम क्रिया के बाद ईश्वर की शरण में पहुंच चुके व्यक्ति या हस्ती के कार्य कुछ वर्षों के बाद परिवार के लोग ही भूलने लगते हैं। अधिकांश परिवार तो ऐसे हैं जिन्हें मात्र तीन पीढ़ियों अर्थात स्वयं, पिताश्री और दादा-दादी या समतुल्य नाना-नानी के ही बारे में जानकारी होती है लेकिन इसके पहले के पूर्वजों के बारे में नहीं। इसी प्रकार जब मृत व्यक्ति या हस्ती की जन्म तारीख या अवसान तारीख के बारे में भी लोगों को स्मरण नहीं होता है। इसी प्रकार अधिकांश शमशान घाटों के हालात बदतर हैं। वहां सुविधाओं का अभाव है। मृत्यु उपरांत धार्मिक कार्य भी आधुनिकता की भेंट चढ़ चुके हैं।
