First Venture: Began his industrial career in 1952 by setting up a small steel pipe and bucket-manufacturing unit in Howrah/Kolkata.Expansion: Established Jindal Industries in Hisar (1957) and later founded Jindal Strips Limited in 1969, growing the enterprise into a massive steel, energy, and infrastructure conglomerate

Family: Married to Savitri Jindal, who took over as group chairperson following his death. They had four sons—Prithvi Raj, Sajjan, Ratan, and Naveen—who successfully manage the diversified business pillars today.Recognition: Honored with the “industries-man of the year” award in 2004 by the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry for his pioneering contributions to the Indian steel industry.
