Kailash Soni

Kailash Soni, besides being a prominent name in Indian national politics, is also the head of the organization of fighters who were jailed during the Emergency.Due to his efforts, the Madhya Pradesh government started giving pension and other facilities to the fighters who were jailed during the Emergency, considering them as fighters.
Mr. Soni was very active on the social level. The BJP nominated him for the Rajya Sabha in 2018, and he served a full six years in the Upper House.
He was active in parliamentary committees, including Agriculture and Defence, and focused on issues like rural development, education, and social welfare, retiring from the Rajya Sabha around early 2024, with farewells noted in February 2024.
